I grew up in Wisconsin and never made it out of the midwest, so winter is something I'm well acquainted with. I was taught to knit at 19 and now that I'm *cough* almost 30 I've branched out and begun to create my own items. My "real job" is in science, and I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Public Health with an Epidemiology concentration. Feral Orange has become my place for a creative outlet.
I love traditional cables and sophisticated knits, but I also like to pretend that grunge never died. Needless to say I have two fairly dichotomous styles when it comes to design. I prefer using all natural fibers for my work, though I do occasionally make an exception when some nylon is needed for strength.
My workspace consists of a little house just outside of Chicago that I share with a dog and cat. Please be aware of this if you have allergies. My workspace is completely smoke free.
